I have always wanted to learn how to dance. With the gentle push of a Friend who recommended Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Woodbrigde, I decided to stop making excuses. I was told that if I wanted a place where I could feel confident and learn to lead in my life, then I came to the right place.
My career is one where I spend long hours sitting at the computer. Thus, socializing and public speaking were not my forte, but dancing instruction helped me gain the skills I needed to use the talents I have and apply myself in a more directive management environment. Through the patience of my teachers and the wonderful people I have met, I have had the opportunity to develop rhythm and learn non-verbal cues of communication to help me lead and dance with esteem. Pushing myself to go outside my comfort zone and socialize during group experience has had a phenomenal impact on my career and life! I smile more as I move around more rhythmically, I participate more confidently in social environments and I even stand taller. Physically, I feel more vibrant and emotionally I am more stable and confident in myself!!
Thank-you to the wonderful staff and people who participate every week in such a healthy and engaging environment. Opportunities are endless if you have the desire, give yourself the tools you need for life. As their motto says "Walk-in and Dance out!!" My friend was right, you won't ever look back only forward with a firm strong glide!!!

Established since 1998 We are proud to be celebrating 19 years of dance education in the City of Vaughan and the recipients of Vaughan Today's Best Dance Academy and Best Business in Vaughan. We offer classes at Recreational and Competitive Levels. Dance classes are offered in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. In 1996, Scoil Rince O'Ceallaigh and Scoil Rince Ni Fhearraigh joined forces to introduce The Irish Dance Studio to the York Region area. The directors, Yvonne Kelly and Joanne Vanderloo, have been involved in Irish dance since their early years of competing and then teaching in their own studios. Combined, they have been teaching Irish dancing for more than 50 years and have produced champions in Canada and the Mid-West United States, as well as North American, All Ireland and World Champion Medal Holders.
Established in the spring of 1996, Kids in Dance in North York has been successful in reaching our goal of providing both students and parents with a schedule that accommodates all levels (intro to adult) and a variety of dance styles to suit everyone's needs. We are committed to providing quality dance education in a friendly learning environment. The studio offers programs for both the recreational and competitive student.
Welcome to The Dance Zone! At The Dance Zone we are very confident in the programs and services that we offer. Should your child wish to not continue in their program for whatever reason, we will discontinue your child from the program, no questions asked. Parents pay fees on a monthly basis so you never pay for services not rendered.
