My name is Mehran and I'm the founder of Vanhess Jewelry, a jewelry boutique based in Vancouver, Canada. I'm a second generation jeweler, coming from a family that has more than 50 years of experience in the art and trade of jewelry. From my teenage years when I started an apprenticeship at my father's jewelry store to this day, I've dedicated my entire professional life to study and learn about all the aspects of this art. I've traveled to and lived in India and Thailand to get formal education on gemology, jewelry design and the craft of handmade jewelry. To me, jewelry is an art and a way of expression and I believe it should be produced ethically and sustainably and be affordable for anyone who wishes to make a statement in how they dress everyday and for any occasion.
