IL FORNELLO has long been considered one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto, Richmond Hill, Oakville and most recently Ajax and Barrie. In Italy 'pizza a legna' (wood-fired pizza) is available everywhere, but it wasn't until Il FORNELLO opened their first Toronto restaurant and offered authentic, wood-fired oven, Neapolitan style, thin crust pizza that Torontonians were able to experience pizza the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Now there are Il FORNELLO, Italian kitchen bars in eight neighbourhoods in the GTA and across Southern Ontario and still making the best pizza you've ever tasted and offering authentic Italian antipasti, pastas, entrées and more in a welcoming environment inspired by the Italian table where you can relax, share and enjoy your meal with family and friends.

Food was superb! The server was so nice and actually offered free deserts for both of us. Very well prepared and presented. Even the coffee in the end was good. :) Read more

I made reservations and went to the restaurant at the end of May for my 18th birthday party. It looked very elegant fom the mall entrance. The ambience was very modern and cozy, though it was slightly noisy at times. Service was prompt and attentive with our orders and the manager even came and brought me a piece of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written in icing on the plate. Everyone unanimously agreed that the food was great. We shared a group veggie, chips, and dip platter and I had the steak well done. It was cooked to perfection and was artfully arranged with savory garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The cake I received was delicious, as was the sorbet a friend let me try. Overall, the evening went perfectly and the meal was easy on the wallet since none of us drank any alcohol. I would definitely come back here or to another Oliver & Bonacini managed etablishment. The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished. Great variety of flavours and presentations. The bread is out of this world. If you order from the menu, the selection is even better. Every dish cooked fresh, and they will adjust the heat to your liking. Very attentive and polite servers. A beautifully decorated room. Do yourself a favour - go to Sidhartha tonight. Read more
