York Region District School Board is the third largest school district in Ontario, with over 121,000 students in 171 elementary schools and 31 secondary schools. York Region students consistently perform above average in provincial testing and the Board is one of the top achievers in Ontario. We believe this is due to a unique combination of students who are prepared and motivated to succeed; teachers who are skilled at helping students learn; strong educational leaders who subscribe to a common vision of excellence; and a supportive community that understands the importance of quality public education.

So happy with my daughter's experience at QMA. Nurturing environment and beautiful playground + building. Very engaging and passionate teaching staff. Could not ask for more. My daughter is reading well beyond her grade level and is also learning both French and Spanish. She looks forward to school every day and is always excited to tell us stories about what she accomplished.
The only thing is that the school is located a little far for us, but the drive is well worth it.Read more
In September 1988, a newly renovated Pine Grove Public School re-opened its door to students in Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5. Two years later, the population grew and two portables were added, along with Junior Kindergarten and Grade 6. By 1996, six portables stood on the site with just under 400 students. Shortly thereafter, plans got underway for a new school building on the Pine Grove site. The new building opened in October 1997 with an enrolment of 500 students from JK to Grade 7.
