The Community of Maple Child Care Services is celebrating over 20 years of quality child care services in Vaughan. We are proud of the high quality, early learning programs we provide to over 500 families. Our child care centres offer full-time and part-time programs, including a nursery school program. We offer programs for children 6-12 years of age during the school year and a summer camp program.
Originally founded as West Hill Community Services in 1977, Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities (SCHC) is one of the most established and comprehensive community health organizations in the province. The organization owes its beginnings to 13 community agencies, a core group of community leaders and countless volunteers who identified emerging health and social needs within Scarborough.
NYAD (Community) Inc. is a registered, charitable, non-profit organization developed in 1979, an International Year of the Child project. The concept for NYAD, a not your average daycare, was initiated as an Early Childhood Education course project by Carol Smith and Jane Robson. Its development was undertaken by Carol and Jane with Mara Holdenried and Gail Baker to meet the needs of children and their families in Scarborough Village Public School.
