At K&K DANCE DREAMZ located in Markham, our goal is to provide the opportunity for students to become confident, well-rounded performers, whether their goals include training for a professional career in the entertainment industry or simply dancing for fun, exercise, and personal growth. The SPACE is a full performing arts centre focused on building self-esteem. In 1991 we received recognition for our high standard of training from the government and became a Registered Educational Institution.
Dance Teq is located in the beautiful studios of the Walter Carsen Centre for The National Ballet of Canada. We offer adult drop-in classes in ballet, modern, jazz and hiphop to men and women of all levels and experience-from advanced professionals to pre-beginners. Kevin Pugh, Artistic Director of Dance Teq and former principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, has assembled a first-rate cast of industry professionals. KICKS Dance Studio is celebrating 30 years in Markham! Studio Owners and Directors, Jo-Ann Bryson-Ko and Courtney Drake are the mother daughter team behind the studio's success! KICKS is honoured to have won the Top Choice Award for the Best Dance School in Markham 2012! They pride themselves in offering high quality dance classes to children ages 2 and up in a friendly, welcoming environment. Students from KICKS participate in many fundraising charity events. The competitive dance team wins numerous awards including the Gold Medal for Canada at the World Championships in Germany! The annual recital is held at the Markham Theatre. National Ballet performs annual Fall, Winter and Summer seasons plus The Nutcracker. The company has toured in Canada and the United States, and throughout the world including performances in Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands, Israel, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy and Mexico. In the coming year The National Ballet of Canada will appear at the Los Angeles Music center, The Kennedy Center in Washington, and the prestigious Sadler's wells Theatre in London England.
