since 1938Miners Bay Lodge, family-owned and operated since 1938, is a family-oriented summer resort in the beautiful Highlands of Haliburton. Located approximately 2 hours north-east of Toronto on highway 35, our 70-acre property sits on the shores of Gull and Round Lakes.Miners' Bay Lodge is a special place. To the scores of guest families that call it their second home?, MBL is more than a venerable summer resort, it upholds traditional values and provides a here and now family-friendly holiday experience. We have a strong tradition at MBL and are dedicated to maintaining MBL community values. My maternal grandparents first came to Miners' Bay a century ago and rented the farm house. My fathers' family came in 1938. Dottie's family started vacationing in the mid-1940's.As great as a vacation at MBL may be, it is more than that. First time visitors as well as 'regular', some for up to six generations, see it as a continuum: They look back, look around and look ahead, remembering the best of the past, enjoying and celebrating the present and anticipating the future.Come and see why MBL has helped guests create lasting memories for over 75 years. We invite you to become part of the MBL experience

Looks like when we are docked in Fenelon we'll be eating pizza. The only thing that I thought was a bit tacky was when I ordered my vegetarian pizza because it was later in the evening the owner tried to get me to buy his old dried up pizza instead of the fresh one I ordered. Given the fact that I ordered vegetarian why would he suggest I take the meat pizza slices? Not a big deal, just thought it was a little cheeky.Read more
