The North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) was founded in 1998 by a coalition of Winnipeg organizations who were concerned about some of the trends in the north end of Winnipeg and who were aware of the good results that community development corporations in other parts of North American were achieving in revitalizing inner city communities. The NECRC was established to serve the community within the geographic area north of the CP tracks, south of Carruthers Ave., east of McPhillips Street and west of the Red River.The mandate of the corporation is to promote the social, economic and cultural renewal of the north end of Winnipeg. It does this by improving the quality and accessibility of housing, creating jobs, upgrading commercial and industrial areas, implementing employment development programs, improving the overall image of the community, and reducing crime in the community. North End Housing Project Inc. (NEHP) grew out of community meetings involving local organizations and citizens in response to the pressing need for decent housing and neighborhood renewal in the deteriorating North End of Winnipeg. NEHP is a registered charitable non-profit organization committed to the provision of affordable housing. NEHP's central mission is restoring neighborhood housing, and the focus is on social development in the neighborhoods in which we work. Strengthening and reinforcing the community and the local economy are integral components the NEHP.

Careers The North End Women's Centre has been serving women and their families for since 1984. We are a registered non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership.Our purpose is to provide a friendly atmosphere, where women can receive the understanding, support, and resources they need to make informed choices their lives.
