I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The filet mignon was great and I can't wait to try the oysters and hopefully I get lucky enought to sit on the roof top patio during summer! Read more
Salt is a tasting room specializing in artisanal cheese, small-batch cured meats, and a dynamic array of wines, beers and sherries. Guests assemble a Tasting Plate from our chalkboard's selection of 10 cheeses, 10 meats, and 10 condiments. The wine list is dynamic and constantly evolving. Global in nature, one can always expect a sampling of vinous delights from our own backyard, or your favourite wine regions the world-over. The selections change constantly, making it almost impossible to have the same Salt experience twice.
You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations. The food is charcuterie, not full meals. Use this place to meet up for a pre-dinner drink, or to end off the night with some wine appreciation.Read more

We came here for the dinner, show and dancing. Every table had a good view of the stage. The Abba tribute band was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good & We shared the 3 & 4 course options. We started off with endive salad, mussels, daily pasta special of Italian sausage in red sauce that was cooked al dente, risotto w/ porchini mushrooms & pork tenderloin. Along w/ a nice bottle of chianti we finished off with tiramusu & panna cotta. It was a great evening out. Read more
Located in the heart of historic Gastown, this GastroPub has garnered many accolades for its service, food, alcohol and ambiance. The Irish Heather is also home to the Shebeen Whisk(e)y house and the Salty Tongue Cafe, which serves as the dining room for the Irish Heather in the evening and home to the famous Long Table Series. In a world filled with "Plastic Paddy" establishments, the Heather stands out as a beacon of authenticity. An Irish House that is owned by Irish people who actually work there.
My wife and I used to love strolling the city and ending up at the Irish Heather for a pint (or three) and some fantastic authentic pub fare. This was in their original location. Then, we had a family and it took us a while to get back but we finally got back to check out their new digs and new menu. While the beer selection is still fantastic we were disappointed in the overall vibe. The food was still good but the value took a bit of a hit from their original location. While it was a great experience overall we still miss the original.Read more

Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and retains its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and flatscreen TVs. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city's busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare and a large selection of craft beer and cocktails.
In 1995, when we first took hold of our historic Gastown brewpub location, we discovered that the building had a rare steam heat system. A remnant from forward thinkers of a century past.
This is the place I visited when I cam to Vancouver for the first time. In that sense, when I noticed people having a great time there, it always puts a smile on my face. This time, although it was quite busy as usual but my friends and I were seated promptly. Friendly server whose service was simply a top-notch. This place's got everything: a great atmosphere, something different from other run of the mill restaurants in town and also more importantly great food! This place is the perfect blend of bar and restaurant in the evenings which I easily enjoy most for the night out. Above all, their Bellini and French 75 are to die for!Read more

Amazing experience. they accomodated us with our infant, took our stroller in the coat check, and made sure my allergies were attended to. They checked about 6 times to make sure I was ok and no item which I was allergic to didn't make it to my plate. They gave us a full banquette because we had our son with us. Amazing decor, and the food was off the chain!Read more
