Children love playing in our two parks while the school property is also accessible for games and recreation. Several generations have played happily on the big parks horse swings, fondly remembered by a local author in her writings.

In 1945 W.B. 'Tommy' Humphreys returned to Jackson, MS after four years of serving his country. Tommy arrived home to a new wife and no source of income but had no interest in taking on the family business of farming. Soon after, a local company, JB Stokes, was looking for a worker.
