Doug has been a Journeyman Carpenter since 1986. He started his career in carpentry in 1981, framing houses in Edmonton. Later he expanded into commercial construction. Where at the age of 26, he became a superintendent; in 1990 that was not a normal occurrence. He worked as a superintendent until 1998 when he started his own company in partnership with his wife Jackie, working primarily on commercial projects. In 2008, it was again time to switch gears, and started building mainly decks and fences for residential property owners.
