Isabel Weeks-Lambert received her BA from Trinity College, University of Toronto in 1970 and her LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1976. She was on the Deanâ's List (top ten percent of class) and received the Harold G. Fox Award for the student showing exceptional promise. Ms. Weeks-Lambert articled and worked as a junior associate at the prominent Bay Street Toronto law firm of Blaney Pasternak (now Blaney McMurtry). Ms. Weeks Lambert then worked as in-house counsel for Sun Life Assurance Company. Ms. Weeks-Lambert relocated to San Diego California and passed the California Bar Exam in 1985. Ms. Weeks-Lambert worked as in-house counsel for Jack In The Box (JBX) restaurants from 1986 to 1994. Ms. Weeks-Lambert was responsible for the franchise law compliance program, including updating and publishing the Franchise Offering Circular, as well as all legal aspects of franchise relationship issues. Ms. Weeks-Lambert also furnished legal advice to management and field operations regarding legal rights and obligations related to employment practices. Ms. Weeks-Lambert was in-house franchise counsel for Mail Boxes Etc. (now the UPS Store), from 1997 to 1999, where she was again responsible for preparation of the FOC and Franchise Agreement, and compliance with all Federal and State franchise investment, disclosure and registration laws governing franchising. She also provided advice on franchise relationship issues. In addition to two in-house positions with major business franchise companies, Ms. Weeks-Lambert has extensive experience in private practice in franchise law. She also has extensive experience in employment related matters and has conducted numerous training workshops for managers on a variety of legal issues. Ms. Weeks-Lambert relocated to Victoria and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2002. Ms. Weeks-Lambert continues to provide her clients with advice on a variety of legal issues. She has substantial experience in franchise and distribution law, real estate conveyancing, corporate and commercial transactions, and wills and estates. Isabel Weeks-Lambert provides legal services to help people deal with making a will, or putting plans in place should they become disabled.
