In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act 1996, as amended, the next Municipal Election will be held Monday, October 27, 2014.Under the Act, the City Clerk is responsible for conducting the elections in the City of Pickering for the offices of Mayor, Regional Councillors and City Councillors. Additionally, the City Clerk is responsible for certain aspects of the elections of members of school boards, as set out in the Education Act and associated regulations.

Internationally award winning cake designer Lisa Bugeja started Flour Confections in 2004 designing wedding & event cakes for the Toronto area.
