Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, I have made Ottawa my home for over a decade while pursuing my higher education. I received my Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa and my Master of Arts from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University in 2012. I was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2014. I completed my articles of clerkship at Mann Lawyers, LLP, where I received extensive training and experience in the areas of family law, civil litigation, wills & estate planning, real estate and corporate law. Before beginning my legal career, I worked with UNESCO in Bangkok, Thailand, where I researched human rights in the context of HIV/AIDS in Southeast Asia among vulnerable high-risk populations. I later worked for Citizenship and Immigration Canada for two years, where I focused on health operational policies, quality assurance and risk management. I am functionally bilingual, and I have conversational level Spanish and Japanese.

Our goal is to introduce and promote culinary flavours from Cote d'Ivoire. We have been serving the Ottawa area since 2000. Our first retail store Yre's chicken BBQ was located on Rideau Street in Ottawa. In 2010 we moved to 375 McArthur Avenue and renamed Yre's to YKO Chicken BBQ. We opened 2 new locations, including one in Montreal, Quebec. To satisfy all our customers, our meat is halal. We are decicated to quality and operating a healthy environment for our customers. Our chicken are grain fed and bred in the best conditions. Our meat is cooked the traditional way, on real wood charcoal. We are proud to hear from our valued customers that our chicken is one of the best in the Nation's Capital Region!
