Our MissionOur Mission is to provide a home for persons living with HIV/AIDS, sharing mercy, hope, dignity, and peace. Consistent with the Christian perspective of caring for those in need regardless of race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation, we provide a home-like setting promoting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual quality of life of persons affected by HIV. We seek to provide the type of assistance and support that enables those who can, to return to stable, independent living in the community. In July 1993 I was appointed to be a Province of Manitoba Marriage Commissioner. Since that time I have officiated at more than 1,600 weddings. Becoming a marriage commissioner was a perfect fit for me. In January 2014, I became a certified funeral celebrant would be another perfect fit for me. I retired from my government career with Manitoba Health in January 2015. This has given me more time to focus on my true calling — performing wedding ceremonies and officiating at funerals and celebrations of life. I am caring, friendly, open and a great listener. My friends and colleagues have praised my warm sense of humour, calm demeanour, thoughtfulness, and patience. And I really love what I do. I hope to share with you my experience, compassion and professionalism as a Marriage Commissioner or Funeral Celebrant.
