Welcome to The Winnipeg Children's Access AgencyWCAA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to facilitate contact between children and their family members in a safe, neutral and child-focused environment. We offer supervised visits and supervised exchanges (also referred to as 'transfers') for families who have experienced some level of conflict in their relationships. We act as an independent body whose primary goal is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children by providing a secure and comfortable environment in which visitation and exchanges can occur. We do not make assessments or judgments with respect to whether a parent should or should not be supervised. To ensure our independence, we do not become involved in negotiating access conditions between parties, provide counseling, act as messengers or mediate disputes. We instead refer the parties to their respective lawyers to address any access concerns.
The Nook & Cranny welcomes you to their dining room. They are open nightly all week. You can get there by car. Payments by American Express, Visa and MasterCard are recognized.
Fantastic Service. . the kids LOVED our waiter and insisted that we leave him a good tip :).
The food was great and reasonably priced. My husband had the ribs and said that they were better than he expected, and comparable to places that specialize in Ribs. The owner came to our table to make sure that everything was up to standards.
The decor has been updated since the previous owners left (Schmeckers) . This is a totally different menu from the previous place, and is very family oriented. Kids meals are $5 and include a drink and Ice Cream.
Would definately recommend to a friend and Will be back!Read more
ContactThe Original Pancake House a Winnipeg Landmark for over Half a CenturyIn 1958, Wally Guberman, a Winnipeg entrepreneur, opened The Original Pancake House on Pembina Highway. The restaurant rapidly became a popular favourite for family outings, business lunch meetings, student gatherings, and special occasions. Over the years, Wally and his brother Monty opened other Pancake Houses around the city, and 50+ years later, the Pembina Pancake House is still thriving (arrive early on Sundays to avoid the lines). This spot and two other locations - at the Clarion Hotel across from Polo Park, and at the Forks Market - attract people of all ages. They have also become 'must visit' stops for tourists and transplanted Winnipeggers returning for a visit.Your satisfaction is important to us- as you notice when you sit down and are offered a cup of our specially-blended coffee. If you would like a refill, just ask. Offering the finest cup of coffee is a part of our heritage. We serve our meals in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere which keeps satisfied customers coming back.

I brought 3 different shoes in for repair on a Sunday. (yes, they are open on Sunday!) One was a sandal with broken strap, another was a leather bootie with a scrape in the toe and the third was a brand new leather bootie (never worn) that showed some flaking of the color on side. I was told he was very busy so it may be more than a week. I got a call in 3 days and I was very impressed with the work! He also repaired a tear in the bootie I forgot about and all 3 repairs cost only $21!Read more
