A-1 Tires Limited was established in October of 1978, a local family owned and operated business started by Frank Atkinson in a single bay building just outside Truro in Onslow.
Currently we have eight service bays to provide full tire service (passenger, light truck and medium truck, farm, Industrial, lawn/garden and high speed trailer tires) and light mechanical work. Our most recent expansion in 2005 added four service bays, a larger sales area and a spacious waiting room with TV and free wi-fi.

She was a school teacher in the town of Truro, an administrator at North River Elementary School, a Regional Supervisor with the Colchester East Hants District School Board, an Assistant Superintendent with the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board, and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Education, Acadia University and the University of Prince Edward Island.
We provide small engine sales, repairs & service on a wide variety of equipment, and also offer Rental Equipment as well as local Pick up & Delivery.
