Pender Harbour's best known visual artist, Motoko, was born and raised in Japan, where she received her formal education. My passion for art goes back as far as I have memory, she recalls. Despite that passion, Motoko was persuaded to pursue a practical college education and became a dietician.
Sharing the healing powers of plant medicine. We are a small company of Herbalists based in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Our mission is to share the healing powers of plant medicine with our community, both near and far. In doing so, we provide the finest high quality herbs, and herbal product. We avidly search out the best possible sustainable organic and wild-harvested herbs in our local farm community, wild lands, and on the world market.
The format for the latter will alternate between reading aloud in small groups in some sessions, followed by others in which you'll give and get a more detailed written response to work circulated between sessions. Participants will gain confidence in their writing skills; and get a sense of reader response. The program is designed to help those in process with writing, who want a tune up in some of the key areas of writing craft and some feedback on their work. You should be prepared to do some writing between classes and to give time to thoughtful written reviews of work submitted by others within groups of four to six people. These sessions may continue in the bi--monthly format in winter 2015.
