Peers is a non-profit society established by former sex workers and community supporters and is dedicated to the empowerment, education and support of sex workers, by working to improve their safety and working conditions, assisting those who desire to leave the sex industry, increasing public understanding and awareness of these issues, and promoting the experiential voice. Peers services are designed, developed and implemented by sex workers, in collaboration with non-sex workers who are committed to Peers core values. The services are based on the needs of sex workers and on a harm-reduction approach driven by each individual's needs.
Metchosin Community events centred around hosting concerts, potluck dinners and educational meetings. In the early years MCA facilitated planning for Metchosin youths and seniors in particular offering teen nights, preparing and overseeing the Seniors Survey furthered plans for emergency preparedness by initiating the Neighbourhood Response Programme and worked closely with the first Metchosin Muse team to promote community awareness and involvement.
The Braefoot Community Association aims to enable youth to participate in activities that promote positive lifestyles which contribute to healthy communities. Our philosophy is that the more positive activities our youth are involved in, the less time they are exposed to potentially negative influences. Braefoot's efforts to enable and encourage youth to be more active will ultimately lead to healthier communities beyond just the physical benefits.Along with providing fantastic basketball and soccer summer camps since 1993, Braefoot partners with quality youth programs to maximize opportunities for youth participation
Founded by Cliff Power in 1998, Extreme Outreach Society began as a BBQ ministry to individuals with addictions, and has grown to include several outreach programs, all of which encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Participants can expect a positive, non-discriminatory environment where they are accepted, learn to build new relationships, learn about Jesus, and have lots of fun! Extreme Outreach Society is a local, non-profit ministry committed to improving the lives of children and families in the greater Victoria community. Our focus is children and families in need as well as the prevention of homelessness. We reach out 365 days a year to families and children from all walks of life in varied and unique ways.

The Garth Homer Society (GHS) is a non-profit society that provides daytime services for more than 130 adults with developmental disabilities. Working with families and friends, GHS creates a plan of activities that meets the individual needs of the client. The dozens of activities available can include supported employment, volunteering in the community, taking a yoga class or cooking and baking in the seniors' program at the Garth Homer Centre.GHS puts a strong emphasis on creating opportunities for the clients to use their skills and abilities in the community. That may mean working at Starbucks, cleaning stalls at Mary's Farm & Sanctuary, recycling bottles to raise money for a village in Africa, or volunteering at a radio station. Clients are also engaged in a number of activities that benefit the community such as collecting donations for Christmas Hampers for less fortunate families.
