A 'Tree City USA', our tree canopy is 73%. Founded in 1900, the village is on the National Register of Historic Places. Arden is one of three villages known as The Ardens: Arden, Ardentown, and Ardencroft. Each has a separate government. Dwellings are owned by individuals or non-profits but the land is owned by the Arden Trust. Taxes for the village, local schools, and the county are assessed based on each leasehold's square footage of land.
