For generations, The Glen House Resort has enjoyed a long history along the quiet banks of the St. Lawrence River, stretching back well into the early days of the twentieth century. The resort came into the possession of its current owners, the Seal family, in the fall of 1962, when it was purchased by Trudy and Ed Seal. At that time it was a humble establishment of quaint Victorian era-homesteads and boathouses. However, the estate had sat dormant for some ten years and was in sad need of repair. Although Ed and Trudy certainly had their work cut out for them in those early days, the Glen House was soon revitalized and ready to expand.
We are a three-generation family business that first opened our doors in this location to the traveling public back in August of 1987. Prior to that, we had been involved in the Duty Free Industry for 20 years in a variety of locations at both the Canada/US border and in Airports. From the time that we entered the business, we have been working hard to provide both excellent value and superb customer service in Duty Free Shopping.
Sarah holds a Master of Science degree in Individual, Couple & Family Therapy from the University of Guelph. Sarah also has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario and has experience teaching at both the Intermediate and Senior grade levels. Sarah is a Clinical Member of the American (Ontario) Association for Marriage & Family Therapy and is registered with the Canadian Registry for Marriage & Family Therapy.
