After discovering that Drupati's/Roti Roti was closed, I decided to visit Alima's while reading online reviews.
Warning: This is a take-out only place. There are no tables/chairs to eat-in.
When I walked in, no one was at the counter. Had to wait a coupla minutes for someone to come to the counter. This seemed normal as no one was bothered by it.
Being that it was my first visit, I had some questions that the worker patiently answered, suggesting different options. She was very helpful.
Expecting to sitdown, I ended up eating by my car, on the grass. That didn't bother me much. Food was nicely packaged, neat not spilling all over the place.
Parantha roti wasn't hot, more chewy than flaky/soft. Curry itself was very flavourful and not too salty - as I find most places tend to be.
If in the area and want to do a pick-up, I think Alima's is a good option. (Place seemed quite busy with a revolving door of people coming in to pick up their orders that they phoned in!) Although I do prefer the taste of Drupati's/Bara's Hut.

I decided to give this place a chance. I had an amazing experience. The waitress/bartender Victoria if I’m not mistaken gave great recommendations. Victoria was professional, friendly, understanding and always had a smile on her face willing to assist. She came often to check up to make sure the food and everything was going well, and I really appreciated that. The cove fried rice was definitely a hit. I recommend this place to everyone, request to speak to Victoria, you won’t be disappointed.

I've been going to this spot for years. The actual store is tiny but the food is good if you're craving Jamaican dishes. The jerk pork dinner is my favourite.

The oxtail is by far the best thing on this menu!! Especially combined with their amazingly tender and flaky fried dumpling !! Mmmmm. If you special request it the owner does bottle and sell her amazing jerk sauce to make heavenly chicken at home almost as delicious as the owner makes themselves!!! They are kind people, their food is affordable and their catering services are negotiable!!!! They did an amazing job for our family funeral! They will always have my business!!!

Jerking is an ancient process of preserving beef, pork, poultry, and fish that was used before the invention of refrigeration. On the mainland of North America, this process is popularly known as Jerky. The early Native Americans of the Caribbean, the Arawaks and Carib Indians, used local spices and a method of slowly cooking and smoking meats and fish over Pimento Wood.
