York Cemetery And Visitation Centre is part of the Mount Pleasant Group Funeral Centres and Cemeteries, serving North York and neighbours since 1948. Casket Graves: Each single grave will accommodate two casket interments and also allow for the interment of cremated remains. Many of the locations available permit an upright monument.
Cremation Burial Plots : For those who prefer in-ground interment of cremated remains. Included is a blank 18”x12” unpolished pink granite flat memorial marker. Each plot will accommodate one to four interments.
Columbarium Niches: Our freestanding granite columbarium is located in an attractive landscaped setting. Each niche will accommodate a maximum of two standard size cremation urns.
We offer you an opportunity for quiet reflection, whether in one of our chapels or in the park-like settings of our cemeteries. Walkways, flowerbeds, indigenous wild life and other natural elements complete the pastoral setting.
As the Muslim community has blossomed and set roots in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), their expectation of acceptable burial service standards has increased to include a 7 day a week burial facility within the GTA, solving the need for weekend and after hour burials, as well reducing travel time to the burial and visitations. The Community has also become aware of the total costs of burial and seeks to control those costs, as well as have access to one-stop convenience.
