The Cowichan Performing Arts Centre (formerly known as the Cowichan Theatre) is a 731-seat proscenium arch theatre located in the Island Savings Centre, Duncan, BC. Opened in 1978, the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre serves the Cowichan region as a community theatre for local groups, as a roadhouse for touring professional artists, and as a conference and convention facility.
The Parks and Open Space Plan provides a vision for the community of Nanoose Bay and a set of recommended actions to work toward this vision. An Implementation Table summarizes the key actions that are advanced in the Plan. The range of topics addressed in the Plan include Nanoose Bay parks, trails and open space resources, management of parks, trails and open spaces in Nanoose Bay, and the development of a system of parks, and open space including community and regional trail corridors, community parks, open space protection through community greenways and access to the waterfront. A number of adjustments to the draft Plan were undertaken by the Committee based on community feedback, particularly in relation to the sections on access to the waterfront.

It is about nature, overcoming fears and challenges, taking a deep breath, slowing down, being silent, working together, an awareness of the environment, respect for each other, making meaningful connections and accomplishment as we experience this adventure together and alone
