Green grass' was the beginning of this work and expressed through a prophetic word in 1978 to David and Jeanne McGrew. In 1980, David and Jeanne arrived in Victoria,B.C. in the middle of the night and could hardly believe ''green grass'' was greeting them in the middle of January.Like all God stories, theirs is filled with the supernatural workings of God as He moved them to this nation, opened doors no man could shut, and connected them with various individuals as lives were touched and His Kingdom extended. From North Vancouver to Chilliwack to their current residence in Victoria, the Lord has allowed them to travel from sea to sea building and strengthening His church in Canada. They continue their work to raise up a mighty army for the Lord within the local churches they are connected to.

At MPCC, we define Missions as any ministry or support role extending beyond the congregation, the goal of which is to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, planting churches, and ministering to the holistic needs of people overseas, in sub-cultures in North America, and together with the Evangelism Committee, in our local community. The purpose of our Missions program is to help our congregation, both individually and as a body, experience Jesus personally by understanding and sharing His heart for the lost and hurting of this world. In this, we want to be challenging, equipping and supporting each other to work with Him to bring the Kingdom of God to individual people and to people groups around the world. Bringing the Kingdom of God to people encompasses spiritual, physical and emotional wholeness in a holistic understanding of God's heart for restoring humanity through the Gospel. The MPCC Missions Committee: Ken Neufeldt (Chair), Stojan Ninkovic, and Sam Youssef (and Pat Tydeman, MPCC Elder). This group of people have the privilege of purposefully seeking and relaying to the rest of the congregation, the Lord's direction for the growth, focus and participation of members of MPCC towards missions. MPCC has also supported various families and individuals who have gone on short term missions trips, like serving with orphanages in Thailand and Mexico and serving as camp counselors in local youth summer camps. Equipment and supplies have also been part of MPCC's loving support of these short term trips. We have also reached out to the local community via Abbotsford Impact, a program where members of the church body have asked the church to join them in helping needy people that God has led them to know and interact with. Christmas hampers for needy families, bicycles for migrant Mexican farm workers, and clothing and school snacks for single parent families are some of the creative ways that God has helped us demonstrate His love in Abbotsford.
Christian Life Community was planted in July of 1992. We began as a small group meeting in the home of Pastor Jim and Maureen Lucas who had moved from North Vancouver to birth the new community under the auspices of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. On January 17th of 1993 our new community went public and began meeting in the Chapel of Summit Pacific College. We moved to Abbotsford Christian Secondary School on Old Clayburn Road after outgrowing the chapel in 1995 .CLCC purchased and subdivided land in 2002 in order to subsidize the construction of a new facility that now serves as a Base Camp for our community at 35131 Straiton Road.CLCC exists to engage unbelieving, unconvinced people with the message of Jesus, grow them into disciples and send them out into the world.Matthew 28:19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.Matthew 22:36-40 - Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
