The Mud Creek Club began its existence as North America's premiere hunting club back in 1807 when King George lll deeded some 2000 acres on the northeast side of Lake St. Clair to the Earl of Selkirk. The club, after several owners was purchased in 1963 by the auto magnate Henry Ford ll, and thus the beautifully appointed clubhouse was built. It served as Mr. Ford's retreat until 1977 when the present owners purchased the property and for the first time made it available to a select few hunters who want to experience duck hunting at its very best. The accommodations naturally are first class, with our gourmet chef keeping the meals at the same level as the rest of the ''Mud Creek Club'' Experience.Conveniently located in Southwestern Ontario, we are in the centre of the flyways. Professional guides, retriever dogs, and a friendly personalized service are offered to individual parties of no more than six hunters two times per week.
Many changes have been made to the club since we finished curling last season. You will see some cosmetic changes but the big changes will not be visible since they are below the ice surface. The new pipes which were installed over the summer will give us much better curling ice for years to come.
