Our family is dedicated to the care and well being of the frail and elderly in small towns for over 30 years.We've served the Retirement Home needs of our clients since 1973, and Long Term Care since 1981.Our goal has always been to provide the best care possible in a personalized, home-like setting with our doors open to the community. This inclusive approach has helped us to develop strong community ties including strong links with valuable volunteers.Each Home has a current three-year Accreditation award, which is the highest award presented by the CCHSA. This has been our standard for over a decade.
Blue Water Rest Home was founded in 1965. We are a 65-bed, charitable Long-Term Care Home, operating under the regulations of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and we are annually inspected to ensure we meet the province’s high standards for care.

Food Services serves three delicious meals and three snacks a day, with choices to suit preferences and tastes. We provide dietary counselling for specific needs.
Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry take care of the Residents’ environment and possessions, and help Residents feel secure and comfortable.

CHNC, an associate member of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), is a voluntary association of community health nurses consisting of community health nurses and provincial/territorial community health nursing interest groups.CHNC is a leader in the development of discipline-specific standards of practice, core competencies, and a community health nursing certification process. These activities have led to a greater understanding of community health nursing and will increase the knowledge and ability of community health nurses and nursing students in Canada.
