Since 1897, Carefor Health & Community Services, a registered charity and non for profit organization, has been helping families stay together longer at home by providing home health care and community services.
Our services include home care including nursing, personal support services and rehabilitation services; community support services, retirement homes including two retirement homes in Pembroke, a retirement home in Richmond, Ontario for women living with dementia and a Hospice in Cornwall.
The founding chapter of the Victorian Order of Nurses, Carefor has been providing care to seniors and people living with disabilities across Eastern Ontario for generations.
OCH provides approximately 15,000 homes to about 32,000 tenants, including seniors, parents, children, couples, singles and persons with special needs, within many communities across the City of Ottawa. We house a diverse population of varying languages, ethnicity and cultures. We are also the largest social housing provider in Ottawa and we manage two-thirds of the City's social housing portfolio. OCH is the second-largest housing provider in Ontario. Ottawa Community Housing was selected as one of the National Capital Region's Top Employers in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is dedicated to increasing cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario. We support cancer care and research to prevent, detect, diagnose and cure cancer.
