Mr. Bedard sent a young, able technician the very next day after my phone call. The young man quickly assessed the situation --- a completely plugged kitchen sink with a leaky pipe underneath --- and proceeded to make the requisite not-so-simple repairs in the kitchen and basement. I have to say that I was thrilled with all aspects of the service Paige and the men provided recently. To be specific, it was wonderful that Paige arranged to have the ducts cleaned the same day I called. Quite extraordinary! My situation was critical. Relatives were coming (unexpectedly) to visit the next day. As I had just purchased a very old house where the former residents smoked, had old and sickly dogs, and a cat that didn’t use the overloaded litter box; the conditions were ripe to send my allergy-sensitive company into sensory distress.
The young men were very polite, competent, worked quickly but not rushed, and were willing to let me poke my nose to see just how bad my vents were. I was AMAZED and quite DISGUSTED at the level of filth. The cold air return was carpeted in dust... and I had to wonder how long it takes for a dead mouse to become desiccated to the point that only its skeleton remains! A couple more things before I close off. No one try to “upsell” services that other companies recommended – like spraying the vents. For this alone, I am grateful for the honesty and patience in explaining why. Finally, I was surprised when the fellows left and cheerfully said, “See you in 5 years.” Five years? You mean, I won’t be harassed year after year to have my ducts cleaned? Wow! Now, I’m speechless.

If you're looking for a nice, clean, affordable apartment in downtown Ottawa, then this is your place. I recently moved back downtown from the bubrs, and I am so glad I did - I've been enjoying downtown life again! Centre Town Place is located close to all amenities - grocery stores, office buildings, the Byward Market and Elgin street restaurants and nightlife - you name it. Yet it is quiet, safe and clean. Specifically, the management is superb: friendly, helpful, professional, etc. I like being able to walk to work in the morning instead of commuting for forty minutes or more. I would highly recommend Centre Town Place (to anyone who will be a good neighbour, of course).

Just bought a used Audi A6 and 3 months after I purchased the car, my Check Engine light came on and my air conditioning wasn't working properly. I took it my own personal mechanic, they thought they fixed it but it came back on 3 days later. Frustrated, I took it to an Audi dealership while in Toronto on vacation and they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to diagnose the problem and eventually fix the problem. I wasn't too keen but I agreed, bought a beautiful car, check engine light shouldn't be on bottom line. Two weeks later back in Ottawa my check engine light came back on !!!! Now I was very frustrated. In limbo my car needed an oil change so I took it to Midas on Baseline rd. The mechanic named Alex indicated to me once again the light was on. I said go a head and see if you can fix the problem thinking if Audi can't fix it who can. The Manager said if they can't find the problem they won't charge me for the diagnosis. It was zero risk for me and a win/win for both of us. Alex was able to find the problem and fixed it with my authorization. The light has never come back on again. Turns out the mechanic Alex is an Electrical Engineer who specializes in cars. AND my final bill to fix it was a fraction of what Audi charged me. Alex in my opinion is an electrical genius !! If anyone has eletrical problems take your car to Midas on Baseline Rd in Ottawa and ask for Alex. It will save you alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and frustation.
