Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord (Greater North Central Francophone Education Region No.2) is the largest Francophone school district in Alberta with over 3,368 students attending our 19 Francophone schools - catholic or public - in Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Jasper, Legal, Red Deer, St. Albert, Wainwright, Beaumont, Camrose, Sherwood Park, and Llydminster. Over 350 employees work in this organization. Black Gold Regional Division No. 18, directly south of Edmonton, extends from the New Sarepta area in the east, to the Warburg area in the west. It includes the municipalities of Beaumont, Calmar, City of Leduc, Leduc County, Devon, Thorsby, and Warburg. Black Gold serves over 11,000 students in 29 schools, 2 outreach locations and 1 home-based school.
St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate School Division operates 12 schools in central Alberta, providing Christ-centered education from preschool to Grade 12 for over 4,000 students of all faiths.
