Dumoine Valley Guides is located on the shores of the spectacular Ottawa river which surrounds the island and municipality of Rapides des Joachims (Swisha). The island is situated on the western border of Pontiac county in the Outaouais region. The lodge has been in operation since 1987 and offers fun filled outdoor activities like; canoeing on lakes and white-water rivers, snowmobiling and all-terrain vehicles (ATV), hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoe trails, bird watching and wildlife observation. You will have the privilege to be surrounded by the most diverse deciduous forest in Québec where you will encounter the mighty White Pine as well as the Dumoine river which is considered to be the last wild river in southern Québec. Woods and Water Taxidermy, Guiding and Hunting Club is a full service business. The utmost attention is given to each mount. Artistic details are key. We do our own Tanning on Premise. It is not shipped out, so you are ensured your own trophy mount, not someone else's. We accommodate the request of the customers in the design process. We also offer a Complete Guiding Services for duck, goose, turkey-spring and fall, Deer, Moose, Elk, Coyote and fox. We offer an exceptional Hunting Club, that allows the Hunter to access our properties and hunt on their own. Our club will give you the freedom to hunt as often as you wish. We also have rustic cabins for rent when in the area. We are highly experienced in the field of guiding, teaching each individual all the techniques necessary to become better and successful hunters.
