On Behalf of the Members of the Greenwich Fire Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. The Greenwich Fire Department was established in 1933, in a small, single bay building. It has since evolved into a 4 bay fire station with a large hall upstairs. We operate with 5 fire trucks; 2 pumpers, 1 tanker, a rescue truck and a van. We provide services to the Hamlet of Greenwich, The Municipality of the County of Kings, and other outlying areas, as well as provide mutual aid assistance to our neighboring Departments.

Orchard Court is located on River Street in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
Orchard Court consists of four separate and distinct households, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Each household is home to 15 or 16 clients, and features a living and dining room, a kitchen servery, a nursing station, as well as a secure courtyard accessible from each living room. Comfortable furniture and well-appointed common areas make special gatherings and socializing easy, contributing to the warm home atmosphere.
In July, 1947 Fire Chief G.R. (Geordie) Sutherland called a special meeting of the Brigade to discuss the need for a building 'in which to keep our fire equipment' as the current heated building was needed by the Box Mill before winter. The Chief 'favoured a tile building, complete with a tower for drying the fire hose'; size was to be 'approximately 20'x30? at least 10? on the posts.'
