Friuli Centre is much more than a seniors' apartment building. Besides providing attractive and comfortable housing, adapted especially for seniors, the Centre offers many programs to enrich and extend the seniors' independent lifestyle.
Crown Heights Co-operative Homes Inc. (the Co-op) is a 118 unit townhouse complex. The Co-op is a mixed community of seniors, families and single person. When a person moves in a unit in the Co-op they become a member of the Co-op. All members of the Co-op have a right to vote and take part in governing their community. The members meet at least two times per year. Members elect a Board of Directors who work to govern the Co-op according to the needs of their members. The members also meet to approve budgets and receive the audited financial statements.
