We go to the Barley Works on Friday or Saturday nights after nine pm to play trivia. We have samples seveal of their menu offerings and really enjoy the perogies and spinach salad. April is a great bartender and we are never left waiting or wondering if we are being taken care of.
Worth the drive to Waterloo if you like a place to sit and play a bit of interactive trivia. So long as you don't mind that it is mostly a student hangout (and we "old fogies" don't mind at all).

More expensive than an all you can eat place, but so worth it, the food is of much higher quality than any buffet, and the customer service is amazing. The chefs and hostesses are so polite and friendly but not so that it interrupts your stay.

Excellent library and awesome collection. Free wifi, neat cafeteria and cozy reading space. They have meeting rooms too for privacy. And the best part is, it's free. Even you can rent DVD's for free. What else one can ask more?

Part way through the week long ENDURrun 160KM stage race this past summer I started battling back spasms along with the distance. The pain was impairing my breathing and freedom of motion. After each stage, and in the one off day, Dr. Colin worked on my back to ensure I was ready for the next race day. i not only completed my fastest ENDURrun but ended it with a personal best marathon time to finish the week. I continued with a few more weeks of treatment, with both Colin and Dr. Erika the naturopath, which put an end to the spasms and let me enjoy the rest of my ultra racing season pain free. We enjoyed the patio during the Mill Race Folk Festival. Lovely cold beer and sangria. Our server apologized for being slow, but we honestly didn't notice that. The festival made the place busier than usual but we felt very well attended to.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. One of the few places in downtown Galt that serves up delicious food at affordable prices.
