We are piano technicians blending elements of traditional and modern craftsmanship, combining old world techniques and ideals with modern tools and repair materials. Based in Victoria, BC we have been serving our clients for over 40 years, from living rooms to the concert stage. Jim is a Registered Piano Technician and member of the Piano Technicians Guild and Canadian Association of Piano Technicians. He is the head piano technician for the University of Victoria School of Music, the official harpsichord and fortepiano technician for the Early Music Society of the Islands and a consultant for Yamaha Canada. He is responsible for maintaining the first All Steinary School of Music in Canada, at the University of Victoria Trained at the Bosedorfer factory Neustadt Austria and member of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association (BCRMTA)

Clair Downey Service has served Sidney and the Saanich Peninsula since the 1950s, providing warranty-approved vehicle maintenance and guaranteed repairs. We are also a designated inspection facility and secure storage compound for RVs and boats. Clair Downey Service offers customer pick-up and drop-off service, and courtesy cars are available as well. Plus, all in-shop repairs come with a complimentary car wash!
