Really enjoy the sushi here!! Haven't tried dinner yet, but the lunch menu is awesome!! They have new items on the menu, like the szchezuan chicken, which is like buffalo kickers almost!! The staff is really courteous and prompt, and love the atmosphere, design, and decorations.

I am a huge fan of Asian food, but unfortunately had nowhere to go for good Korean food since moving to Ottawa, until I found Koreana that is.
Koreana is a low key gem tucked away on Somerset. The staff is always super friendly and service is very quick. Tea along with complimentary appetizers are brought within a couple minutes.
On to the food. I absolutely love the bulgogi which is at least as good if not better than most of the competition in in Toronto. It's always sizzling hot and if you don't put a napkin on your lap you are bound to have some crackling oil drops land there. The meat is very well marinated and tender, and the portions are very big. The various stews are likewise very good, my favorite is the pork stew.
They also service sushi but I have never had to chance to try it. The bulgogi is just too hard to pass up.
As with most Korean restaurants, your order is accompanied by complimentary side dishes like kimchi and seaweed. All are very good except the occasional broccoli salad which I'm not a fan of.
Koreana has now become one of my monthly haunts. Highly recommended.

Wow, this is miles better than most sushi places in town, including some that claim to be authentically Japanese and then go on to charge you $25/person for *crunchy* sashimi (yes, you read that right). I'd much gladly spend my money at Sushi 88. Wonderful, creative rolls, good service, most definitely coming back.

We came to Wasabi late one night as we were craving some sushi. The patio was booming, but the inside had about one table with people at it. We were seated right away in a large booth, the booth was very comfortable. We had to wait about 5 minutes until we actually got our menus, seems a little ridiculous considering the menus should be brought right as you sit down. We received our menus and ordered our meals. We also asked for water, which took about 5 minutes to arrive. The table behind us received their alcoholic beverages before us, and they arrived after we did. Once the sushi arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the taste. The Sussex roll was really good! It had cream cheese, cucumber, and smoked salmon. It was nice and tidy, and the flavours of all of the items meshed well together. I was craving more as it was very delicious! Once we were finished our sushi, the server came and we asked for the bill. The server wasn't very friendly, didn't even talk to us as we were paying. I would only come here for the food, the service isn't anything to rave about.

I ate here with my family and we were delighted to find another teppanyaki place after losing our favourite one in the west end, and being disappointed at the Village. I am disabled, and access use an issue that they cannot solve at that location, but they do everything that is possible to make up for it. We know our teppanyaki, and were very pleased. We will be back!
