CHEO houses the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health and the Ontario Newborn Screening Program. CHEO is an active partner in the Champlain Local Health Integration Network, providing leadership in all aspects of pediatric health and well being. CHEO's large service area includes not only Ottawa, but also Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, Nunavut and parts of Northern Ontario.

Outside of work I like to be part of the community by taking part in local events. I am a Perth Chamber member, actively involved in volunteering at seniors’ events. Many times, you will find me walking, hiking, kayaking on the lake or spending time with family. My parents live with my husband and myself, in a country home nestled just outside of Perth. I have two daughter and one grandson in British Columbia, who visit whenever they can. I originally come from Ottawa, however we had a family cottage in Perth for 30 years and ended up moving to Perth about 20 years ago.
My personal journey into a healthier life style actually started back in Berlin, Germany, almost 40 years ago.I was part of a circle of friends that wanted to go back to a more unpolluted life style without cars,(more bicycling and walking), eating organic food, local fresh produce and organic meats and a more considerateway of life towards all creatures of this planet.
