The Embassy of the United States of America, the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate of Oman, the Office of Overseas Schools of the United States Department of State, and a group of parents and business leaders worked together in 1998 to establish The American International School of Muscat (TAISM). Since its beginnings it has grown continuously to an enrollment of 765 students representing 65 nationalities. Students from the United States represent 27% of the student body.
While preaching in Scotland, D.L. Moody led William Millar to Christ. Mr. Millar came to Canada to preach and was invited to begin Bible classes in Moose Jaw, SK. In 1932 the school moved to Pambrun, SK, and Herbert W. Peeler was asked to help with the teaching. In January of 1933, Reverend Millar passed away leaving Mr. Peeler to guide the school. God gave Mr. Peeler the strength to direct the school for over fifty years of vital ministry.
