Today April 4 2019 I went to the Orillia Home Depot to get replacement tiles for flooring I purchased approximately 4-5 years ago to find out that the Allure brand was not available in store or on the Internet. I was sent to the flooring department and sat down with Lawrence a part-time employee who went above and beyond to help me. After over an hour of him searching and making phones calls he did it. My visit to Fern Forest Gardens last summer was absolutely fabulous. From their breathtaking grounds, to array of high quality plants.. I wish I found this local spot sooner! Not to mention, Karen and Tom were so lovely to deal with; Karen's passion beams through this spectatular place. The annuals I bought here were THE BEST I have ever gotten..So lush, and never seemed to stop growing. Karen even gave me lots of great info regarding my favourite, Petunias. Thanks again!!

Scott, president & founder, established Scott’s Landscaping and Design in 1978 in Orillia. Kevin’s father, William Scott, retired from the aircraft industry and began helping in the business. In 1981, Kevin and William incorporated the company and became partners. William was an integral part of the business for over 25 years. In 1983 they purchased the property at 254 Coldwater Road where Scott's Garden Centre continues to grow today. Kevin's wife, Pat, joined the company in 1986. Their three children, Stephen, Patricia and Alex grew up working in the greenhouse and Alex remains in the business today. Kevin's mother Kathleen, in her 90's, still loves working in the greenhouse.

We are a full service garden centre that is open from April to December, during the spring and summer. The garden centre carries a vast salection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, evergreens, fruits and vines. During peak season, we have one of Muskoka's largest selection of perennials including just about every variety of perennials that is hardy to this area. In spring, the greenhouses are jammed full with colourful hanging baskets, planters and flats of every conceivable type of annual plant.
