My journey into cake decorating started with my oldest daughter's first birthday cake. I wanted to create something really special to mark her first year so I made a "healthy" carrot cake in the shape of a lady bug. I don't think my daughter even had a bite of it and it was pretty goofy looking but it sure gave me a craving to create more cakes.
