The Music Cellar School in Winnipeg is devoted to music education. We pride ourselves on our innovative techniques. It has always been our belief that music lessons should be affordable and this is reflected in our tuition fees.
Marilyn Hooper is a former elementary and junior high school teacher. Her background includes many years of private piano instruction to children and adults. She was a teacher of Music for Young Children for twenty-five years, and of Music Pups (a program for infants and toddlers) for seven years. She also regularly takes advantage of the professional development opportunities offered by the Royal Conservatory and other schools of music.
Marilyn Hooper is a certified teacher of the Ultimate Music Theory program and has successfully completed the Elementary Pedagogy Course of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Sharing her love of music with students of all ages is the main focus of her professional life.

LA School of Music is owned by Luciano Armenti, B.A. (Music) and managed by Jessica Armenti, B.Mus (Hon). Luciano leads a highly skilled team of teachers who have experience working in the music industry, that teach students a wide variety of genres and musical instruments including piano, voice, accordion, guitar, violin and more! Our team also includes qualified, professional music educators with University and College credentials. We offer music lessons and instrument rentals in Selkirk.

Music for Young Children offers group piano lessons for ages 4 and up, as well as offering the Sunrise class: a pre-school keyboarding class for age 2-4. We incorporate rhythm instruments, singing, movement and puppets into the teaching, for a fun way to learn how to play piano and gain a solid musical foundation.
We can teach to suit multiple learning styles: making use of tactile and audio-visual teaching. We strive to instill a joy of music and create a fun environment.
