Kinghaven Treatment Centre was established in 1971 and continues to serve an adult male clientele suffering with addiction and/or mental health challenges. To date the centre has served in excess of 22,000 men. images/pic_au_peardonvile_big.jpgimages/pic_au_peardonvile_big.jpgOur Sister program, Peardonville House Treatment Centre was established in 1987 to serve the needs of adult women with similar addiction and/or mental health concerns, and their under school age children. The children, while not in treatment, are cared for in a fully-licensed childcare centre at the facility. This program has served in excess of 2,500 women and children. In 2006, Valley House, a 6 bed residential program for the most chronically addicted was opened on the Kinghaven campus and Mollie's Place, a similar 6-bed facility for women, opened on the Peardonville House site in 2008.

The Powerhouse at Stave Falls has a way of engaging a wide variety of visitors, from individuals to families and school groups. With an amazing Tesla coil electricity demonstration and many interactive and historic displays, guests can take a walk back through time to see how power has helped build our province. This 100-year-old power generating facility is also a National Historic Site of Canada where guests can comb through archival photos, artifacts and explore the original mechanical and electrical components installed over a century ago. Because of its unique historic features, many television shows and movies have been filmed on-site. You'll be walking through a real life movie set.
