The Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer is a non-profit grass roots community based volunteer agency which has been serving Central Alberta for more than 40 years. The Youth and Volunteer Centre governs distinct independent programs. Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club are two nationally affiliated organizations. The other programs within the agency include the 49th Street Youth Shelter, and Camp Alexo. We are an organization of dedicated professionals working with Canadians from coast to coast fighting to End Diabetes through waste diversion. Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million lbs. of household items and clothing from landfill sites across Canada.
