How is the school governed?Calvin Christian School is owned and operated by a parental society incorporated as the Greater Winnipeg Society for Christian Education. It is not directed or financed by a church or denomination. Members of the school society elect a board of directors that is entrusted with the governance of the school. Since the very beginning of the Catholic Church a mystery of Divine Mercy has been contemplated by Christian believers. Christ's redemptive mission was nothing but an act of reconciliation of us people with God. The Christians believe that the Church was symbolically born at the moment when Jesus' side was pierced on the cross. Water and blood came out of his heart as a sign of our purification through the baptism and salvation through the precious sacrifice of life.

''The Food Depot for Winnipeg Harvest is just one of so many outreach programs. CRAVEAbout Mark and KathyMark and Kathy grew up in Winnipeg in the neighbourhood of Fort Garry where Church of the Rock is located. They have been married for over 20 years and have grown children.Mark graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Agriculture in 1977 and ran the family owned farm for 10 years. It wasn't until his mid-twenties that he entered Bible School and then went on to study New Testament Greek at Providence Theological Seminary. Mark has also been involved in politics over the years and in 1993 ran as a candidate in the federal general election.In 1996 Church of the Rock began televising their services on Manitoba's 'A' channel. Since then they have expanded to include cities from coast to coast across Canada (See: Broadcast Schedule). Mark's practical and humourous style has struck a chord with audiences of all ages and has consistently led the ratings for religious programs in every broadcast region.Pastor Mark has a deep interest in the unity of the churches in Winnipeg and is respected as one of the principal leaders of a city-wide prayer movement.

After a year of being the interim pastor, Kim was called to the role of lead pastor at Braeside in the summer of 2008. Just prior to her pastoral work she had returned to school to complete theological studies earning a Master of Divinity degree. She and her husband Gerald have been long time members of Braeside Church. They have a daughter Ashley, married to Donavon, and a son Brandon.

Since 1916 Harrow United Church has been a centre of community activity and a place of Christian worship, nurture and service. From its beginnings as the Sunshine Hall on Arbuthnot, offering a place for children and youth in the growing Crescentwood neighbourhood, to its present incarnation on the corner of Mulvey and Harrow, the congregation has always had an outward focus, looking for ways to make a difference in the community and the wider world.
