A Kitchener standby on Highland Road ... very busy all the time ... usually a 5-10 min wait ... but worth it ... the Asian lady who owns or runs the franchise has been there for at least 8 years and keeps things moving ... food always great ... for a down easterner (Halifax) ... it's always nice every now and then to have a feed of fish 'n chips (haddock every time) ... love the unlimited fries ... just wish the cole slaw side was larger ... that being said great food ... Somthin Fishy on Mill Street in Elora is the best takeout fish and chips EVER! The coldslaw is GREAT, the servings are generous, and the fries are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. In the summer, we order ahead and go to the park across the street to sit and eat beside the river. Life doesn't get any better than this!

I have been going here off and on for 20+ years. In fact I am going tonight (March 8,2013) doing the traditional take-out.
They have perfected the art of perfectly battered fish and fresh hand cut fries.
You can't go wrong. Place is pretty basic, but you're not really there for atmosphere. You are there for the delicious fish and chips, and that's exactly what you get.

I've been here before and I'll be back again. I had the pollack with fries and I think it might be the best fish I ever had and the fries are excellent. I had the three piece and it was way too much to eat at once.They've done some renovations since I was there last too.
