We focus on helping people find a therapist who is the right 'fit' for them. At Rivers Edge Counselling Centre, we have created a community of St. Albert-based therapists who will equip you with the tools you need to rebuild and move forward with your life. We help women and men, couples, kids, teens, and families heal and grow through life's challenges and transitions. Our team of psychologists and counsellors specialize in treatment of anxiety and depression, trauma, relationship problems, grief and loss, addictions, stress management, life transition (including divorce, relocation and family/life stages), management of ADHD, behaviour problems and OCD with kids, as well as personal growth and development. We also offer psychoeducational testing and assessments, and group therapy for issues such relationship loss, building resilience, grief and overcoming anxiety. We believe in helping people live their lives with a greater sense of purpose, peace, connection to others.
Counselling can be a time to discover, explore and refocus on what gives meaning and purpose in your life. My background is a Masters in Counselling Psychology and a PhD in Theology. I work full-time as a clinical health care professional in an acute care Edmonton hospital and I also work in some outpatients clinics within the local health system. I am a full member of the following: College of Alberta Psychologists; Psychological Association of Alberta; Canadian Association of Spiritual Care. You may wonder . . . so what brings people to counselling? Clients come to address issues connected to work, health, family, relationships and life transitions (e.g., moving house, death, children moving out). People seek to cope and need a few pointers to help them. Sometimes they wish to delve deeper in the therapeutic conversations to understand themselves and others more. My private practice is located at Star of the North Retreat Centre in St. Albert.

Choosing the right Health practitioner whether it be a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist or Massage therapist, is an important choice to make. We understand that trust must be earned and we strive to earn that trust through superior patient treatment, education and satisfaction.
Your Chiropractor or physiotherapist provides conservative management of neuromusculoskeletal disorders including, but not limited to: back, neck, and head pain. In general, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists focus on the body's skeletal and nervous system function in relation to the total body and are educated and trained to treat and manage conditions resulting from joint, ligament, tendon, muscle, nerve, and spinal disorders.
So if you have lifted something wrong, tripped running to first base, been involved in a motor vehicle collision or hurt yourself at work then you have found the right people to help!
Looking forward to being part of your care team,
Dr. Levy and the Leverage health team
