I always question who writes these reviews but as a regular of this establishment and a Proven HARD FACT "Foodie"!! I can say this joint serves the BEST wings in Muskoka (ask for the Dirty Greeks) and the servers are to say it plainly "friendly" and always go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. The fish and chip and onion rings are also wonderful.

What a great night! I havent visited this pub in a while but Im glad I did again. Enjoyed a nice dinner with friends with great service and a fun atmosphere. I recognized the same staff from years ago when I last came by and happy to see theyre still there enjoying themselves. All were super helpful and knowledgeable about menu items/drinks. My gf has some food allergies, and they were able to tell us what she should not have etc as well gave us a gluten free menu. Im a big foodie lover (hence the name) and will definitely be back for the food. It was better then most pub fare Ive had. Thanks Filly and Firkin, see you soon

Local pub with small-town feel but a huge atmosphere. Well priced, diverse soul food menu, friendly staff, cottage-rustic vibe and a nice selection of beer.
We went on Wednesday Wing night and it was packed by 5:30 with a short line-up to get in. They had a table for us right away in a nice location. One of us wanted wings and asked if there were any dry-rubbed flavours, as there didn't appear to be any on the menu. To our delight they had a dry Cajun flavour that was excellent. Wings themselves were large and meaty and the vegetables that came with them were just enough and freshly cut. All of which was served with a generous stack of napkins and wet-wipes.
The other ordered the aptly named "Long-Weekend Burger" complete with cheddar & Swiss, sautéed mushrooms & caramelized onions and opted for sweet-potato fries as a side for an additional cost. (I don't know about you, but whenever there's a "long-weekend" in my circle there's always bacon involved ~ but they had another burger with some on it) The burger itself was huge, juicy, and did not have a lot of added flavouring allowing the true taste of the beef to come through. This allowed the flavour to be somewhat customized with the good selection of condiments delivered to the table. Freshly cut tomatoes & red onion topped it under a nice Kaiser roll. Sweet potato fries were plentiful, crisp, long and lightly dusted with sea salt to be complimented by white or malt vinegar and/or their own house dip.
Beers were served in a frosted glass, which compelled us to have more than one ~ otherwise this would be in the $11-25 range!
Bathrooms were clean and adequate. House was well-kept. The only gripe we had was the dim lighting which made it hard to read the Trivial Pursuit cards at each table (which were a very nice touch, even though they were obviously an older US edition!)
It's rare to have a great dining experience in such a packed house. Overall this was a great meal and it will likely become a default destination if we can't decide where else to try.

This place is awesome - 10 constantly rotating craft beers on tap, plus a bunch more in bottles. Menu is tasty, if somewhat limited.
Live music Thurs/Fri/Sat nights, so it can be hard to get a spot - it's not a big pub. But the music and atmosphere are awesome, so it's totally worth it.
The patio is amazing in the summer.

It was a great place before to watch the game and have a bite. Lots of different things to do know. They have Karaoke Friday nights, UFC and live bands Satudays and now even Comedy nights on Sundays no cover and it was great to laugh. Food still great as always.

will definitely go back. The fox might not be a fine dining restaurant, but the food is good, and the night life is amazing. If you have never been there at night, you need to check it out. I would rather go to the fox than head downtown. MUSIC IS ALWAYS GOOD!

Been coming here for years. I dont know who wrote that last review but they must have a screw loose. What would you expect if you tried to get a table for 7 people on a saturday nite without a reservation when the place is lined up. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was adequate considering how busy the place was. The lineup indicated they are doing something right. Not too many restaurants are around as long as they have been.
