Our journey started in 1956 with the opening of Skyline Sports in North Vancouver, a general sporting goods store selling everything from fishing rods to car racks. When the big box stores arrived in the 90’s, it became clear to us that the consumer also desired more specialized retailers offering better product knowledge and a larger selection of inventory. With this in mind, we opened Rack Stop in 1997; a store dedicated solely to car racks and related accessories.
The Urban Rack story when she took over an existing 18 year business on 4th Avenue in Kitsilano.
