In 1987, Dr. Wong, spearheading the cause, gathered a group of 30 Chinese Canadian friends who shared his vision of building a nursing home to care for parents and grandparents with respect and dignity in their last years.

Tendercare Living Centre provides retirement living to a multicultural community of residents in Scarborough. We have a 75 bed Retirement Home that caters predominantly to Chinese speaking residents and another 28 bed retirement home (Moll Berczy Haus) for German speaking seniors. Tendercare Living Centre provides culturally sensitive programs, meals, housekeeping and laundry services. We have Registered staff for administering your medication and Personal Support Workers to assist you in Activities of Daily Living.
