For the past 25 years beginning with hand lettering jobs for commercial vehicles to processing large billboards, office signage, labels and cast aluminum letters using state of the art technology such as large format digital printers.

At 1st Impressions in Norwood, Ontario we design and make 2D & 3D signs and lettering of any size for indoor and outdoor use. Our signs are carved or cut out, some using computer numeric controlled routers (CNC) with the rest done the old fashioned way—by hand. All of our signs are hand painted at least four coats with environmentally friendly paints.

In 1973, the Province of Ontario passed the Regional Municipality of Durham Act to establish Durham as one of five Regional governments in the Greater Toronto Area. The Act annexed and amalgamated 21 former municipalities of the counties of Ontario, Northumberland and Durham to form eight area municipalities: Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge and Whitby. Members of the first Regional Council were elected late in 1973 and the Regional Municipality of Durham began operating on January 1, 1974.
